JOB DESCRIPTION

CLASSIFICATION:      GENERAL OFFICE                                                                                                     

TITLE:                          SITE LEADER-SCHOOL AGE

WORK YEAR:               12 MONTH              

SALARY:                       GRADE 112

Job Goal: Coordinate, organize and assist in the day-to-day operation of Community Education programs.

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 60 academic hours in child development or a related field.
• Must be 21 years old
• IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Satisfactory criminal background check

Core Job Functions

• Provide opportunities for academic enrichment and recreational activities for students
• Develop and schedule children's daily activity choices and assign the work of team members
• Assist with building and scheduling classes in current software
• Support with purchasing and ordering
• Assist with planning and coordination of programs
• Assist in training, evaluating and supervising site team members
• Coordinate the staffing needs at the site, including substitute staff when required
• Prepare, maintain, and assure compliance of all documentation
• Alert a supervisor to any problem or special information about a student
• Communicate with parents on student's progress, issues, and outcomes
• Maintain the confidentiality of protected student and staff member information even after no longer employed
• Make the well-being of students the fundamental value in all decision making
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with district personnel
• Accept responsibility for students’ well-being and safety while they are in the programs care
• Be alert to and report the possibility of any substance use, child abuse, or dangerous situation based upon daily observation
• Operate and care for school district's equipment properly
• Follow district policies as outlined
• Perform all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed by supervisors  

• Be flexible and perform other duties relating to general job function as assigned by supervisor.

Positions in this classification typically require stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, sitting, finger or manual dexterity, repetitive finger motion, speaking, hearing, seeing (with correction), focusing ability, or other factors applicable for the job.   Employees may be subject to travel, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, workspace restrictions, bloodborne pathogens, and loud noises.
