CLASSIFICATION:       HEALTH & SAFETY

TITLE:                 OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

                       SALARY:                    As per district classified salary program

                       WORK YEAR:           9 months

                       BENEFITS:                 Standard Package   Group

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.        Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy required
2. Completion of six to nine months of supervised clinical affiliations
3. Current certification with American Occupational Therapy Association required
4. Knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations and rules

JOB GOAL:

       Developing, planning and implementing appropriate therapeutic programs for the students of the district

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conducts evaluations, develops and implements appropriate therapeutic programs for students
2. Reassesses and revises programs as necessary as student's status changes
3. Participates in the Child Study Team process, consulting with staff and parents
4. Gathers therapeutic equipment and designs specialized equipment as needed
5. Plans and conducts in-service activities in the area of occupational therapy
6. Directs activities of any classified staff as appropriate
7. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the supervising administrator
8. Performs all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed
