Message for Jr. High School Football Coaches
Subject: Help Coach Jr. High Flag Football
Our Casteel Football Program is in need of a qualified individual to help coach our Jr High Flag football team.
This season will begin with tryouts in January 2025 then start shortly thereafter. There are two games scheduled per week with typical after school practices. There will be 8-10 regular season games, three possible playoffs games, and a championship game.

Chandler Unified School District is currently looking for a strong candidate to lead our Flag Football 8th grade program. Candidates must meet all District HR requirements, as well as obtain clearance through site’s Athletic Department.
All interested candidates must have in their possession, or able to obtain prior to employment, the following:
-Valid Arizona Driver’s License
-DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
-CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
-NFHS Course Certificate: Bullying, Hazing and Inappropriate Behaviors
-NFHS Course Certificate: Concussion in Sports
-NFHS Course Certificate: First Aid, Health and Safety
-NFHS Course Certificate: Fundamentals of Coaching
-NFHS Course Certificate: Heat Illness Prevention
-Additional course certifications as required by sport type.

Job Goal:
Assists in the development and oversight of the football team, players, and works to collaboratively prepare team for competitive activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of students, staff, and fellow coaches
- Demonstrate values based leadership skills
- Ability to coach multiple positions and levels within the football program.
Core Job Functions ? Develop, instruct, and mentor a roster of qualified student-athletes.
- Develop position specific practice plans including drills to develop player skill, technique, and understanding.
- Assist players and coaches in the establishing appropriate competitive and developmental goals and objectives
- Support coaching staff with practice sessions.
- Communicate effectively with Head Coach, staff, students and parents.
- Engage program with the community through service and fundraising
